Guess I have three more games to toss into my no longer work games, since I have the BIA series in those nice and wasted space big DVD storage cases.Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Gearbox Software and published by Ubisoft for Xbox, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 2. It is just disappointing that neither Gearbox, Ubisoft, or the DRM take responsibility to either remove or repair the stuff. If I had, would have probably cut the time fixing in half. So I totally forgot to look at what they wanted to send to MS.

I have not had any need for Startup Repair in about 2 or more years with my current Win 7 install that is coming up on 12 years since I did a fresh one. Now whether they actually caused it not, my desktop is back to normal and thankfully everything is okay and I don't have to worry about editing my boot config and fix this and that. sys file in windows\system32, it left me like, has anyone sued this company, I want in. Took me a good, oh, 10 hours to finally find the culprit was a stupid starforce. All I know is the next time I booted my system, all my drives were missing their drive letters both in computer management and diskpart. You would think the backlash against the company would scare away people needing DRM that doesn't make problems.Īll I know is I tried to get the old ones to work and then downloaded (BIG MISTAKE) the supposed Starforce version ID program. It is frustrating that Starforce continues to even be in business. Even games that I think are under GOG care are showing up on other digital distribution site, like some of what I called the older games, mostly xp and before, or early in Vista's day. It is getting more and more confusing every day with companies selling their goods on so many different websites you never know anymore. The lunar sale on gog ends on the 31st so you could always contact gog if you have any problems or maybe someone else can help here. If you buy it from gog it shouldn't have any drm and according to the store page it works on windows 10.On the other hand steam version probably has drm because they really dont care about removing it. I paid a price trying to figure out a way to get the game to work, as it moved all my volume drive letters around and put a driver that prevents Windows 7 from booting, so about 12 last night working till I finally fixed the damage. I have all 3 of the series that was originally released by Gearbix and Ubioft. Sabertooth007: I am hoping someone has the official scoup on this. I only have a few hours before the Gog and Steam sales are over there is about a $4-5 difference so I want to pay the least amount but I don't want to get stuck with another set of the same games I already own that won't work. Others say that GOG didn't remove the Starforce files, just deactivated them. Some on Steam says their version started with Starfroce and then got rid of it in favor of the Steam DRM. I have read post there and here and it is too inconsistent in terms of what is and what isn't going to work. Does anyone know anything about Steam's version.
